Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Between Us introduces adults to events, venues and each other. It does not sell the evening, the room or the night. These terms explain exactly who does.
1. Who we are and what Between Us does
Between Us is a discovery and introduction platform for consenting adults. We publish editorial content, list events run by independent organisers and accommodation offered by independent properties, and pass enquiries between guests and providers. Between Us is not the event organiser, not the accommodation provider, not a travel agency, not a tour operator and not a payment service. We do not process payments and we do not take a commission.
2. Who you are contracting with
When you attend an event, your contract is with the organiser of that event. When you stay at a property, your contract is with that property. Your contract with Between Us covers only the use of this website and your account.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. You confirm this when you create an account or apply to an event. We do not run document-based age verification; see Safety for exactly what we check. Accounts are personal. Couples may share one account where the product provides for it. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
4. What a place, a ticket or an enquiry is
A confirmed place or ticket is admission to the event described, for the time described. A stay enquiry is a request for information. It is not a booking and it creates no contract until the property confirms one. Admission and accommodation never buy, promise or guarantee interaction, intimacy, sexual activity, participation with another guest, or access to any person. Nothing on Between Us may be paid for in exchange for sexual services.
5. Acceptable use
The Prohibited Activities policy forms part of these terms. It applies to every member, organiser, property partner, listing, message, enquiry and review. You also agree not to misuse the platform: no scraping, no impersonation, no publishing another person's identity, no photographs of other guests, no unsolicited commercial messaging.
6. Reviews and content you submit
Reviews may only be written after a verified attendance or stay. They must describe your own experience, contain no sexual detail about identifiable people, no contact details and no explicit media. We may decline or remove content that breaks these rules, and we do not remove a review simply because it is critical.
7. Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Cancellation and refund responsibility sits with the provider — the organiser for events, the property for stays. The Cancellation & Refunds policy sets out the rules for each. If a provider does not honour its own published terms, contact us. We will pass the complaint on, ask the provider to respond, and remove providers who repeatedly fail their guests.
8. Complaints
Write to us through the contact form or your account support area. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and to give a substantive answer within 14 days. Safety reports are handled ahead of everything else.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the Prohibited Activities policy, that puts other guests at risk, or that misrepresents an event or a property. You may close your account at any time; see Withdrawal & Erasure.
10. Liability
We are responsible for operating this platform with reasonable care. We are not responsible for the conduct of organisers, properties or guests, nor for what happens at an event or during a stay. Statutory liability for injury to life, body or health and for intent or gross negligence is unaffected. Final liability and governing-law wording is pending legal review.
11. Fees
Today there is no membership fee, no listing fee, no booking fee and no commission, and we do not process payments. If fees are ever introduced, they will apply only after notice and acceptance, and never retroactively.
12. Changes
We update these terms as the product changes. Material changes are announced before they take effect.
This document is under legal review. It describes how Between Us operates today: an introduction and discovery platform that does not process payments. Governing law, jurisdiction and the operator's registered details are completed once the operating company is registered.
