How Between Us works

• Application review

  Every application is read by a person. We look for clarity, respect and a realistic sense of what the evening is. We may ask a follow-up question before deciding.

• Participant balance

  We do not fill a room first and worry later. Couples, single women and single men are balanced deliberately for each format, which is why some applications wait.

• Approval or waitlist

  You are either approved for a specific evening, or kept on the waitlist for the next one. A waitlist place is not a rejection and costs nothing.

• Venue disclosure

  The address is never public. Approved guests receive the venue and arrival details shortly before the event.

• Payment

  Between Us takes no commission, no booking fee and no membership fee. Where an event has a ticket price, you pay the organiser directly, outside this site.

• Check-in

  There is a real check-in at the door: name or chosen name, confirmation of your booking, and a short reminder of the house standards.

• Privacy

  No public guest list, no photos, no phones in social areas. What you saw stays in the room.

• Support

  There is a named contact for the evening and a reporting route afterwards. Concerns are followed up, not filed away.

Speed dating, step by step

   You register interest with your region, who is coming and how far you would travel.

   When a viable group forms, we invite waitlist members to complete a short application.

   We confirm places and only then announce the date and the venue.

   A series of short, timed conversations. Everyone meets everyone.

   Longer breaks, and optional social time at the end for anyone who wants it.

   You mark your choices after the evening, at home, not in front of anyone.

   We pass on contact details only where both sides chose each other.
