Meet first. Decide later.
A structured real-world dating and social evening for adults who would rather meet in person than swipe.
What Connections is
An evening of short, speed-dating-style rounds. Everyone taking part meets everyone else in a brief, structured conversation — no profiles to scroll, no opening line to invent, no wondering who is actually interested. Afterwards, in your own time and entirely privately, you note who you would like to see again.
Structured rounds
Short, timed conversations with each participant, so nobody has to break the ice alone.
Private choices
You make your choices after the evening, on your own, not in front of the room.
Mutual only
A match exists only when both sides said yes. One-sided interest is never shown to anyone.
Who it is for
Grown-up, curious adults who want an elegant and socially safe way to meet — not another dating app and not a stereotypical party.
Designed for adults 30+.
- Couples who want to meet other couples or individuals together
- Approved solo guests, in the balance the organiser sets
- People who are tired of endless browsing and unclear intent
- Anyone who would rather have one real conversation than fifty messages
How the evening works
Four steps. Nothing happens that you have not chosen.
Find an evening
Pick a date and city that suit you and register your place.
Meet in person
Short, timed conversations with everyone taking part, with real breaks in between.
Choose privately
Afterwards you note who you would like to see again. Nobody sees your list.
Continue only when it's mutual
Contact is released only where both sides chose each other and both allow it.
What happens after the conversations
The part that makes this work is not the evening itself. It is how carefully the decision afterwards is handled.
You decide in private
Choices are submitted after the evening, privately, with no pressure and no audience.
A match needs both sides
A mutual match is created only when both sides chose yes. Nothing else creates one.
Contact follows consent
Where there is a mutual match, contact details are released according to what each side has allowed in their own settings.
No notification of a 'no'
If only one side said yes, the other side is never told that interest existed.
Why it is less awkward
No swiping before you meet
You form your impression in person, not from a photo grid.
No approaching strangers cold
The format brings people to you in turn. There is no room to work.
No public rejection
Nobody is turned down in front of others. Every decision happens afterwards, in private.
No guessing about intent
Everyone is there for the same reason, and interest is only ever acted on when it is mutual.
Privacy and safety
Discretion here is structural, not a promise in a footer.
No public likes or profiles
There is no browsable directory, no public guest list and no visible interest anywhere.
Organisers do not see your choices
Organisers run the rounds and the room. They do not see private yes/no choices or who matched with whom.
Contact stays under your control
Your details are shared only on a mutual match, and only to the extent your own settings allow.
Consent throughout
Nobody owes anybody participation of any kind, before, during or after an evening.
How to join an evening
Tell us which region would work for you. When enough compatible people have registered in one place, we open the first evening there and come back to you first.
First evenings are being prepared and interest is still being measured, so there is no published date yet. We would rather wait than fill a room badly.
Join the Connections interest listNo date is fixed yet and nothing is charged. Registering interest simply tells us where to start.
